Isekai Defense · 229 GAMES
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data the game Isekai Defense collects, why, who processes it, how long it is kept and how you can delete it. It applies to the Isekai Defense app and to this website (isekai-defense.web.app).
In short
- You can play without signing up. The game creates a guest account automatically to keep a cloud copy of your progress.
- We only collect what the game needs to work: account identifiers, your Summoner name, your game progress, the messages you send in chat and, only if you link a Google account, your Google e-mail address and name.
- We do not sell your data. The game has optional in-app purchases and optional rewarded ads (Google AdMob): an ad only plays when you choose to watch one for an in-game reward.
- On Android, ad measurement (Firebase Analytics and the Meta SDK) tells us which of our ads brought players. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland it only runs if you allow it (you can change your answer in Settings › Social); elsewhere you can stop it by deleting or resetting the advertising ID in your phone settings.
- Our service providers are Google Firebase, Google AdMob (rewarded ads), RevenueCat (purchases) and Meta (ad measurement on Android).
- You can delete your account at any time in the game (Settings › Account › Delete account) or by e-mail.
1. Who we are
Isekai Defense is developed and published by 229 GAMES ("we", "us"). We decide how and why the data described here is processed (we are the data controller). For any privacy question or request, write to studio-229games@outlook.com.
2. Data we collect
The game works offline and saves your progress on your device. When it connects to the internet, it uses an online account (a guest account created automatically, which you can link to a Google account) to keep a cloud copy of your progress and to run the online features.
| Data | Details | When |
|---|---|---|
| Account identifiers | A random user ID created by Firebase Authentication and, for linked accounts, a friend code. | Every account, including guests. |
| Summoner profile | The Summoner name you choose, avatar, frame, Summoner level, platform (for example "android"), and the time you were last online. | Every account. |
| Google account data | Your Google e-mail address and name (and your Google profile photo link) as provided by Google Sign-In. They are stored only in Firebase Authentication. The game uses the e-mail to show you which account is linked; it is never shown to other players. | Only if you link a Google account (optional). |
| Game progress and activity | A cloud copy of your save (heroes, items, stages, settings) with the game version; ranking scores; Arena points, defense team and battle results; guild membership, contributions and Raid results; gifts between friends; promo code redemptions. | Every account (social features need a linked account). |
| Messages | Guild chat messages and private messages between confirmed friends (up to 200 characters each), with your Summoner name. | Only if you use the chat. You can turn it off in Settings › Social. |
| Other content you create | Guild name and tag, guild join and support requests, and reports you send about other players (reason and the reported content). | Only when you use these features. |
| Notification identifiers | A Firebase installation ID and a push token created by Firebase Cloud Messaging, used to deliver game news and event notices. We do not store them in our database. | On the Android app. Notifications can be turned off in the game or in your phone settings. |
| Purchases | The product you bought, price and currency, date, the store's order and transaction IDs and purchase token, linked to your account ID. Payments are handled by Google Play or the App Store: we never receive your card or bank details. RevenueCat validates purchases and keeps the purchase history for us. | Only if you buy something. |
| Ad measurement (Android) | Your device's advertising ID, the Firebase app instance ID, Meta's anonymous install ID, device model, operating system, country and IP address, and app events: install, app opens, Summoner level, completing the first battle tutorial, linking an account and purchases (product and price). | On the Android app: by default outside the EEA, UK and Switzerland; there, only if you allow it (changeable in Settings › Social). Anywhere, you can delete or reset the advertising ID in your phone settings. |
| Technical connection data | Like any internet service, Google's servers receive your IP address and basic technical information (such as the operating system and SDK version) when the game connects. We do not use it to locate you and do not store it in our database. | When the game is online. |
3. Data we do not collect
- No precise or approximate location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, files or browsing history.
- No payment card or bank details and no crash reporting SDK. No ad ever plays without you choosing to watch it.
- On iPhone, no advertising ID (IDFA) and no ad measurement.
- If the game crashes, the error is kept only on your device.
- Your progress is also saved on your device. If Android backup is enabled on your phone, that local save can be included in your own device backup, which is managed by Google under your Google account, not by us.
4. How we use data
| Purpose | Data used | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Provide the game: cloud save and sync between devices, account linking, rankings, guilds, friends, chat, Arena, Raid and promo codes | Identifiers, profile, Google account data, game progress, messages, content you create | Performance of our agreement with you (providing the game you asked for) |
| Security, fraud and cheat prevention, moderation (for example, one reward per player, limits per account, handling reports) | Identifiers, game activity, reports, messages that were reported, IP address (processed by Google) | Our legitimate interest in a fair and safe game; legal obligations |
| Developer communications (news and event notifications) | Notification identifiers | Your consent (the notification permission), which you can withdraw at any time |
| Sell and deliver in-app purchases, restore them on your other devices, handle pending payments and refunds | Purchases, identifiers | Performance of our agreement with you; legal obligations (tax and accounting records) |
| Ad measurement: learn which of our ads bring players and let Google and Meta deliver our ads to people likely to enjoy the game | Ad measurement data (Android) | In the EEA, UK and Switzerland: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time in Settings › Social. Elsewhere: our legitimate interest in promoting the game; you can object by deleting or resetting your advertising ID or by e-mailing us |
We do not make automated decisions about you and we do not sell your data. Ads are shown only when you choose to watch a rewarded ad (section 14). Google Play may also give us aggregated, anonymous statistics about installs, crashes and app performance.
5. What other players can see
Your Summoner name, avatar, frame, level, guild, your top heroes, when you were last online, your ranking and Arena results and your Arena defense team. Messages are visible to the guild members or the friend you send them to. Your friend code is visible to the people you share it with. Your Google e-mail address is never shown to other players. Guest accounts do not appear on rankings and do not use the social features.
6. Service providers
We use Google Firebase, provided by Google, as our data processor. Google processes the data on our behalf and under our instructions, according to the Firebase data processing terms:
- Firebase Authentication: guest and Google accounts, sign-in.
- Cloud Firestore: the game database (cloud save, profiles, rankings, guilds, friends, chat, Arena).
- Firebase Cloud Messaging: push notifications.
- Google Analytics for Firebase (Android): ad measurement.
- Google AdMob: the optional rewarded ads (section 14).
- Firebase Hosting: this website.
RevenueCat, Inc. (United States) processes purchase data on our behalf to validate purchases and keep the purchase history (RevenueCat privacy policy). When ad measurement is on, RevenueCat also tells Meta about purchases, with Meta's anonymous install ID and the advertising ID.
Meta Platforms receives ad measurement data from the Meta SDK in the Android app (and the purchases reported by RevenueCat) to measure and deliver our Facebook and Instagram ads, under the Meta Business Tools Terms and the Meta Privacy Policy. Google may likewise use ad measurement data to measure and deliver our Google ads.
When you link a Google account, you sign in with Google, and Google's own privacy policy applies to your Google account. More information: Privacy and security in Firebase and Google Privacy Policy.
Apart from the ad measurement described above, we do not share your personal data with third parties for their own purposes. We may disclose data only if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our players.
7. Where data is stored
The game database (Cloud Firestore) is located in São Paulo, Brazil (Google Cloud region southamerica-east1). Firebase Authentication, Cloud Messaging and Hosting run on Google's global infrastructure and may process data in other countries, including the United States. RevenueCat and Meta process data in the United States. These international transfers are protected with the safeguards required by law, such as standard contractual clauses.
8. How long we keep data
- Account, profile, cloud save and rankings: while your account exists. They are deleted when you delete your account. Uninstalling the game does not delete your online account.
- Chat messages: each message expires and is deleted 30 days after it is sent.
- Purchase records: while your account exists and for as long as tax and accounting laws require.
- Ad measurement data: Google Analytics keeps event data for up to 14 months; Meta keeps it according to its own policy.
- Data kept after account deletion (for example, records needed to prevent the same reward from being claimed twice, and reports kept for moderation) is listed, with the reason and the period, on the account deletion page.
- Residual copies in Google's backup systems are erased by Google according to its own deletion process.
9. Deleting your account
In the game: Settings › Account › Delete account. Without the app: send an e-mail to studio-229games@outlook.com. The account deletion page explains the steps, what is deleted and what is kept. The progress saved on your device stays there until you use Settings › Erase progress or uninstall the game.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have rights over your personal data, including:
- Brazil (LGPD): confirmation that we process your data, access, correction, anonymization, blocking or deletion of unnecessary data, portability, information about who we share data with, information about refusing consent and its consequences, withdrawal of consent, and to file a complaint with the ANPD.
- European Economic Area and United Kingdom (GDPR): access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection to processing based on legitimate interests, withdrawal of consent, and to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
- Other places (for example, some US states): the rights given by your local law.
To exercise any right, e-mail studio-229games@outlook.com. We may ask for information to confirm that the account is yours. We reply as soon as possible and within the period set by the applicable law (for example, 15 days under the LGPD). We do not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
11. Children
Isekai Defense is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a child under 13 has used the game's online features, contact us and we will delete the account. If you are under the age of majority in your country, use the online features with the permission of a parent or guardian.
To keep players safe, chat is only possible with members of your guild and confirmed friends; the game blocks links, e-mail addresses and phone numbers in messages; every message can be reported and its author blocked; and chat can be turned off in Settings › Social.
12. Security
All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and Google encrypts it at rest. Database security rules let each player read and change only their own private data. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and will act promptly if we learn of a problem.
13. This website
This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party scripts or fonts. It is delivered by Firebase Hosting (Google), which processes your IP address to deliver the pages and protect the service.
14. Purchases, ads and future changes
Isekai Defense has optional in-app purchases (see sections 2 and 4) and optional rewarded ads: in a few places (for example, the Fonte in the town) you may choose to watch an ad for an in-game reward; nothing plays by itself. The ads come from Google AdMob, which, when an ad is requested, collects your device's advertising ID, an approximate location estimated from your IP address, interactions with the ad and diagnostic data, to show and measure the ad and prevent fraud (how Google uses data from apps that use its services). In the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google's consent form appears before the first ad; you can change your choice later in your phone's ad settings. Ads are not personalized for players under the age of consent.
We may update this policy at other times. When we do, we change the date at the top of this page and, for important changes, we let you know in the game.
